Thank you Reese!
For her Sweet 16 Birthday, Reese Barrett, a rising junior at Severna Park High School, decided she didn’t need any presents for herself. Instead, she asked her guests to bring food to donate to SPAN’s food pantry. Her selfless act netted almost 200 pounds of food!
This isn’t the first time Reese has been generous in this manner. Her mom, Julia Barrett, explained that Reese has done the same thing with every big birthday party since she was eight years old.
Welcome Aboard, Ellen Kinsella!
While continuing our mission of Serving People Across Neighborhoods, SPAN has recently reorganized its staff into two distinct areas of leadership. Ellen Kinsella, newly hired Director of Development, is eager to promote the awareness of SPAN within our community and expand SPAN’s financial resources to enable helping more. Jennifer Pumphrey, Director of Operations, is excited about her new opportunity to include more input from the volunteers and fine tune ways to serve our clients better. Please join us in congratulating our two directors!
