Jing Ying Institute of Kung Fu & Tai Chi, in Arnold, held its 12th annual holiday party and silent auction to support SPAN. Local businesses, members of the community and students donate items to the event. Many of the items are unique and handcrafted, ranging from hand-knitted jackets to original paintings. Gift certificates for a variety of services include beginner ski lessons, massages, yoga, restaurants and more. The event raised over $4,000.
“Through the generosity of our business, community and student donors — as well as the people who bid on the donations — we are thrilled to have donated more than $40,000 to charity from our silent auctions,” said Nancy Greer, auction organizer.
